I actually would have never thought that people could actually afford these things. But then again every time I go home and visit I don't really look for these things. So nothing really new. Well thats a lie I've got a new job! So thats a plus and its so close to home I can't really believe that I got it. The pay is lower however it makes up for the money that I would have had to spend commuting and paying for gas and toll. So I am happy overall. On top of that the management is awesome. Very professional and helpful. I mean the way it should be. If you're wondering I work at Barnes & Noble. Other than that I've had extra time as well to catch up with friends and actually take some time to hang out. I don't have anything really post as far as photos are concerned. However I have been trying to stay busy and read up. I've also started to read more, books that is. I really did not realize how much reading I had done on my PC but at least books are portable. Speaking of which I also will be picking up a NOOK Color very soon. Seems to be a top contender as far as E-readers are concerned. Even squaring off with Apple's Ipad for comparison it holds its own. It's web browser even supports FLASH. Anyway I just felt the need to randomly post and get an update. Its almost been a month since my last post and I've haven't taken the time do or work on any. Well that's about it for now. Actually I do have something to post. I went back into some old photos and reprocessed a portrait photo. I can't find the original processed photo but just went and tried some new techniques out.

Finally season 2 of The Walking Dead is coming out. After I read that entire writing staff had been canned I was a little worried that the second season wouldn't be released. PICASSO Exhibit

So earlier this year I found out about the PICASSO exhibit was coming to the De Young. Randomly Vince asks me if I wanted to go see because he had received a free pair of tickets. And of course I couldn't turn down the offer. Probably the only thing that was disappointing was that "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" was allowed in the exhibit. I mean completely understand since some of the pieces are worth more than everything own and wouldn't want to ruin anything.

So I logged onto STEAM to play some Day of Defeat. And I saw that steam is having a promo on BATTLEFIELD Bad Company for $10 so before I can take the jump and buy the game. I have to make sure my computer can run the game. So head over to Yougamers Game-o-meter. Pretty much reads your system to see if your computer can handle the which ever game you decide to get. Its good to get an idea in where you are lacking and needed to upgrade. Heres an example of what it looks like when the site is done checking your system.

Ok so earlier this year I saw the trailer for Super 8 and thought it would be an awesome sci-fi action movie. I went to go watch at the Metreon on Friday. And it wasn't what I was expecting. I mean if you're looking for a lot of action then you might be unsatisfied. But don't let that stop you from watching. Overall I thought it was still a great movie. Just don't let the trailer fool you.

And yesterday I went to the De Young to see the PICASSO exhibit. I'll get to those in a few days but Im glad I went. I also had a scare later in the day when my camera wouldn't change shutter speed or aperture. I thought it was the wheels where the shutter release was. And tried cleaning my camera last night. Nothing changed so this morning I got on photography-on-the.net forum and found out it had something to do with my verticle grip. Anyway I eventually got my camera to work again. Im glad I don't have to get another camera. Anyway the forum is for CANON shooters specifically check them out.

So I was checking out RCmart this morning and found this awesome video of a helicopter kit for either a CANON 5D Mark ii or 7D. I don't think I would have the balls to put my 5/7D on a setup like that unless they were insured. Still pretty cool to see that people are always be innovative.

So today I thought I would get more accomplished it being my day off and all. I've worked a lot of hours this past week so I got inebriated at a co-workers place and crashed on the couch. And didn't get home til 1:30-ish. The traffic from Concord to San Francisco was horrible. The toll plaza was packed. Can't blame anyone for wanting to go to the City today though. The weather was great until you got close to Daly City(FOG).

Anyway here are some photos from a couple of weeks ago. I helped Edwin get rid of his Gorilla Bean Bag!

It barely fit but we got it inside of the box. The lady he sold it to laughed when I opened the hatch on my XB.

Well kind of. Yesterday after work I went to go watch Green Lantern with 2 of my co workers. I didn't know really what to expect. I've never read any of the comics. The movie wasn't bad at all. Ryan Reynolds did add a bit of a comedic twist to the movie but it was one of the first that I've seen him in that wasn't a comedy/ chick flick. For those of you who didn't stick around after the credits.

Well its been a while since I've actually posted but whats new? I always seem to feel like I've been too busy to post. But here's my problem. I've just been too lazy. Hey at least I can admit to it. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I went to Fanime with a couple of Co-workers and it was awesome. I haven't finished processing all of the photos but I am excited to post them. Ok so this is all the way back from May. I went to Fanime 2010 at the San Jose Convention Center. This was my first big anime convention and it was probably one of my favorite weekends this year. I only was able to stay for 2 of the 4 days. But next year I'll be ready and plan ahead so I can enjoy everything. So you have an idea of how big this thing is There are meet and greets and speaking panels. There were 6 movie rooms (one of them was a karaoke and they had one for hentai/ yaoi. <--Google it.) Theres a art dealer hall, vendor hall and last but not least Video Game Hall. And Fanime runs 24 hours a day. You have to actually go and see it yourself to see what Im talking about.

Ok so I've been pretty lazy about posting lately and actually am working on doing a new post with an assload of photos. But Im finishing my last project for class and found this during my break. IRONY

Barbara Ann Radnofsky, a Houston lawyer and Democratic candidate for attorney general, says that a 22-word clause in a 2005 constitutional amendment designed to ban gay marriages erroneously endangers the legal status of all marriages in the state.

The amendment, approved by the Legislature and overwhelmingly ratified by voters, declares that "marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman." But the troublemaking phrase, as Radnofsky sees it, is Subsection B, which declares:

"This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."

Architects of the amendment included the clause to ban same-sex civil unions and domestic partnerships. But Radnofsky, who was a member of the powerhouse Vinson & Elkins law firm in Houston for 27 years until retiring in 2006, says the wording of Subsection B effectively "eliminates marriage in Texas," including common-law marriages.

She calls it a "massive mistake" and blames the current attorney general, Republican Greg Abbott, for allowing the language to become part of the Texas Constitution. Radnofsky called on Abbott to acknowledge the wording as an error and consider an apology. She also said that another constitutional amendment may be necessary to reverse the problem.

"You do not have to have a fancy law degree to read this and understand what it plainly says," said Radnofsky, who will be at Texas Christian University today as part of a five-city tour to kick off her campaign.

'Entirely constitutional’

Abbott spokesman Jerry Strickland said the attorney general stands behind the 4-year-old amendment.

"The Texas Constitution and the marriage statute are entirely constitutional," Strickland said without commenting further on Radnofsky’s statements. "We will continue to defend both in court."

A conservative leader whose organization helped draft the amendment dismissed Radnofsky’s position, saying it was similar to scare tactics opponents unsuccessfully used against the proposal in 2005.

"It’s a silly argument," said Kelly Shackelford, president of the Liberty Legal Institute in Plano. Any lawsuit based on the wording of Subsection B, he said, would have "about one chance in a trillion" of being successful.

Shackelford said the clause was designed to be broad enough to prevent the creation of domestic partnerships, civil unions or other arrangements that would give same-sex couples many of the benefits of marriage.

Radnofsky acknowledged that the clause is not likely to result in an overnight dismantling of marriages in Texas. But she said the wording opens the door to legal claims involving spousal rights, insurance claims, inheritance and a host other marriage-related issues.

"This breeds unneeded arguments, lawsuits and expense which could have been avoided by good lawyering," Radnofsky said. "Yes, I believe the clear language of B bans all marriages, and this is indeed a huge mistake."

In October, Dallas District Judge Tena Callahan ruled that the same-sex-marriage ban is unconstitutional because it stands in the way of gay divorce. Abbott is appealing the ruling, which came in a divorce petition involving two men who were married in Massachusetts in 2006.

Massive error?

Radnofsky, the Democratic nominee in the Senate race against Kay Bailey Hutchison in 2006, said she voted against the amendment but didn’t realize the legal implications until she began poring over the Texas Constitution to prepare for the attorney general’s race. She said she holds Abbott and his office responsible for not catching an "error of massive proportions."

"Whoever vetted the language in B must have been asleep at the wheel," she said.

Abbott, a former state Supreme Court justice who was elected attorney general in 2002, has not indicated whether he will seek re-election and is known to be interested in running for lieutenant governor. Ted Cruz, who served as solicitor general under Abbott, is running for attorney general in the Republican primary.

Radnofsky, who has not yet drawn a Democratic opponent, is scheduled to appear at the Tarrant County Young Democrats Gubernatorial Forum at 6:30 tonight at TCU.

So October I was pretty busy with work and school but whats new? Nothing really Im saving up for more parts for my desktop. I haven't been 100% convinced to buy a MAC but when I have enough money more than likely I'll buy a MAC laptop. Otherwise life is business as usual. Not having a computer right now sucks and frustrating especially with my photography class. I need to edit alot of photos for homework but ever since my desktop went to shit I've been spending alot of time at school. Anyway I'll be back on here every so often just waiting for pay day.

Wow haven't been on in a while alot to catch up on. Not right now though. Anyway I've been scoping out the canon 7d. And its a great alternative especially since I can't really afford the 5d Mark ii at the moment. I know I've been pretty baised about having HD video on an SLR but this impressed me. Its a short video doc filmed with just a CANON 7D.

Not really that new but Canon 7D looks to be very promising with its dual DIGIC 4 processors and high ISO capability. What most impresses me is the 8 fps on a crop body. The HD video still isn't really a big deal with me. I'd still prefer to have seperate video camcorder. Probably not on my wish list because I really am looking into a full frame camera for my upgrade. But none the less an awesome add to CANON's line up.

Something I saw recently that really grabbed my attention was the Archos 5. Pretty much an all in one media storage device with video and internet! I want!!!!!

Ok so last week found out that we carry the Olympus EP1!(@ FRYS Concord) Which I was pretty surprised about. Got to see it in person but not test it out.(Yet) Unfortunately I didn't see any of the accessories but I hope we atleast get the flash and viewfinder. Anyway from what I've seen and read on the net so far it seems pretty impressive. Check out the review on Dpreview.com. I know its random as hell but this camera is awesome. I wonder if Canon or Nikon have anything in works as far as 4/3 cameras are concerned.

Went to go watch G.I. Joe with my dad and brother today right after work. The movie was ok, an ass load of action but you know the outcome. Pretty much like watching the cartoon minus the corny life lessons at the end.

Feel pretty refresh this week time to start new as ever monday but lets see how the rest of the week pans out. Anyway sunday didn't do too much. Woke up 11ish. Got a call from my brother that he was going to come out to the east bay and pick up his glasses he forgot.(Don't worry he has prescription sunglasses and it was bright and sunny out in Vallejo atleast.) Went out to Sonics for some food and played some WC3(Warcraft 3 you noobs!) Something I found inside of my storage in Hercules.

WOW!!!!! I forgot I even had this stuff! If you haven't heard Wave Twisters or Seen the movie you are missing out. I got this stuff back in 2001. That tape is actually my second copy. I played the other one to death.

And to top it off I got Qbert to sign the VHS!

Thats what I feel like I've been. Alot of work and stress along with it. I didn't think it would be that difficult to work at FRYS but it is. I didn't expect fully grown adults to act so childish and play the fool. I can say that I have done my share of complaining about work but I think Im justified in my complaints. I did not expect to be so frustrated working with people who shouldn't have to be told to do every little task. But I guess these are the year where I realize the real world sucks donkey balls and I need to finish up with my education. Anyway July has been a rollercoaster of good times and stress but I dont think it needs to be explained any further. So enjoy the photos.

BBQ!!!! This is what I really needed and I just took some time to relax and hang out with the guys and not worry about anything. Big ups to Mike for planning everything and getting all the BBQ!

A couple of weeks ago went to Japan Town with my brother to go hang out. Didn't really do too much but get some lunch and regret not stopping by FATLACE. Didn't know that they had new stickers out. Anyway I can always stop by and pick some up.
I did pick up a stand for the CHERUDIM GUNDAM I put together last month. Afterward went on a hunt for a copy of Battlefield 2. Finally found a copy at BEST BUY. The only thing is my internet connection isn't so great.

June was like a blink of an eye. I barely remember half of the things I did this past month. Work has had its ups and downs more downs unfortunately though. But I'd rather not talk about those things right now. Anyway I've decided Im finally going back to school officially. No more bullshit about I'll do it next semester. If I don't do it NOW! So going to enroll at Diablo Valley College. Close to work so it makes sense. So a little visual recap of the past couple of weeks.

Well today was a little different because my schedule at work was different today. Usually on fridays I start work @ 7am but today it was changed to 10. I know it seems kind of stupid but when I wake up after 8 its hard for to start my day. If I wake up between 5-6 I can start my day better. I don't know how to explain it. But thats how I am.

So this week I started to watch this series Japanese TV series called Sexy Voice and Robo. Its drama with a comedic twist. I always find Japanese TV entertaining well atleast more so than TV over here. Im on the 3rd episode and Im pretty hooked if you can source it I would recommend watching it. You might like it.

Well ever since I started working at FRYS I notice that more and more people are interested in cameras with built in video and vice versa. They want best of both worlds. Full HD video with decent megapixel count. I really am not with the whole lets turn SLRs into video recorders not really something I'd be interested in. If I have a camera I'd like to have do it what I want it and nothing more nothing less. If I wanted a camcorder I'd invest in that. Its not a bad option to have but some people are hung up on it. Just my opinion. Kind of like how cell phones are capable of doing 4372840327 thing besides just making calls.

Anyway something that i found on Masterchong.com I think its pretty hilarious.

The Canon EOS-0 from Canon. Available not just in Canon mount, Nikon Olympus, Sony and Sigma mount is out too.

I think the title explains how everythings been lately. Im pretty spent just with work and figuring out what needs to be replaced on the 86. Speaking of the 86 I moved it to Vallejo and its in a garage now!! Glad just to get it out of the sun where its just rotting away. So far I've spent...lets just say a good amount of money on the new parts. Still searching for an engine though. I'd rather not go redtop(hi comp) again but if I don't find something soon Im just going to redo the old one and invest in new pistons, rehone, balance the crank, main bearings, ect, ect....So much money.

Something Anthony picked up for me when he went to the Super Autobacs in Stanton. Got it for a pretty good deal too! Sucks that Autobacs closed though.

Anyway I've also been told that theres an open MT (management trainee) position at work but Im still thinking about how much time I want to commit to work. To be honest I'd rather go back to school which I FINALLY plan on doing in the fall no more BS. School needs to be finished or I'll have a job all my life. Not a bad thing but I'd rather have a career. Yes there is a difference between the two!

Well just got done watching the last episode and it was a great ending to an awesome second season. I don't know if any of you follow or have seen a Gundam series but this has to be the best one yet. Sorry to spoil it but at the end of the credits they anounce a Gundam 00 movie for 2010. So that is something I'll really be looking forward to watching. Would be dope if they could have a limited screening at an actual movie theater or even on IMAX but thats only wishful thinking. Anyway if you have time or are bored try looking up Gundam 00.

Well just got off work not too long ago. Saturday nights always suck for me or alteast most of them just because I get off around 11:30pm-12am. Anyway just browsing around photography-on-the.net and found out CANON is releasing a new flash. The 270EX which looks pretty promising and Im probably going to pick up for my G9.

Because using a 430ex makes it feel a little too heavy/ unbalanced at times.

Well I've been pretty busy with work. Other than that I've seen a couple of movies. I love you man and Miss March. I also went to Berkley to pick up my ticket for Popsickle @ SKILLS.

I selling it to Jolo because Anthony(broder) gets out of the Marine Corp that same weekend so Im going to fly to So Cal and hit up MAZFEST and drive back up north that weekend. So if anyone is going to MAZFEST I'll probably see you there. May 23, 09 @ Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, CA. Other than that passed by Upper Playground since it was down the street.

Only thing thats on late and Im watching FULL METAL ALCHEMIST. If you haven't seen it go to animeseason.com and check out a few episodes. Worked kind of sucked today. Just because I was late and on top of that I felt shitty. Felt sick but worked through the day. Anyway I should be sleeping but why waste time doing that. Anyway I finally came to the conclusion that I should just drop in some random 4ag into the Corolla. Just to be able to move it. But another thing thats worrying me is Vallejo is big on the Old School Toyotas so there are going to be thieves. The owner of AZN MOTORSPORTS (Robert)just had his car stolen right out of his garage. Sorry about that rant but main thing is just getting my car to run again.

Nothing really important just been working. Well today I went to Deli World grabbed a sandwich

then to CALUMET to buy some sensor cleaner. Its been a while since I clean the sensor on my camera.

I've actually been having a hard time deciding on if I should buy the CANON 5D which is full frame.

Or CANON 50D

which is still a crop body but will be able to shoot with a TOKINA FISH EYE without any vignetting. Its been bothering alot and Im just stuck wondering if CANON will release a 60D or should I just go full frame. Im pretty torn on this. But if just keep my sales up @ work I can afford both this year. We'll see. But I really want to move to a full frame camera.

So last friday I rode out on BART to SF after work. It was about 3pm and I had to pick up Darrell's car. After I pick it met up with Alex at his house and hung out for about an hour. I passed by Peter's place for a while. He showed me the most weird Anime about 2 sisters trying to hit on their stepbrother. Don't ask.
